Based in Cambridge, Vermont, I operate a Woodmizer LT-70 portable sawmill, offering affordable, on-site sawmilling services to property owners throughout Northern Vermont. My goal is to help you maximize the value of your land by turning trees that might otherwise go to waste into useful and valuable lumber.

My interest in milling began after a storm brought down several trees on my family’s property. I was eager to get the wood milled into lumber, however, I had difficulty finding a local mill that wasn't booked out for months. Additionally, I would have to haul the logs elsewhere to get them milled. Eventually, I found someone with a portable mill, and in a few hours, we transformed two large poplar trees into enough lumber to complete an entire tiny-house build. The only downside was that the mill operator had to travel from southern Vermont, adding significant cost due to the distance.

Seeing the need for more accessible and affordable sawmilling services in our area, Sugarmaker’s Mill intends to provide these much needed services.
